1、 Overview of the Scenic Area
The Wan'an Mountain Colorful Grand Canyon is located about 3 kilometers south of the intersection of Nanshan Avenue and Licun Street in Yibin District, Luoyang City. The scenic area is approximately 5 kilometers long and covers an area of approximately 177 hectares (2655 acres). The scenic area is based on the unique geographical location, natural scenery, and cultural and historical advantages of Wan'an Mountain, and is built into an ecological scenic area that focuses on urban leisure functions, relies on Taoist culture, and features "water tourism, mountaineering, seclusion, and water entertainment". It integrates functions such as ecological tourism, leisure sightseeing, vacation and entertainment.
The Seven Colored Grand Canyon is an independent scenic area developed strictly in accordance with the original ecological concept. The Wan'an Mountain Colorful Grand Canyon has three routes: the Eastern Route Qutian Gorge, the Middle Route Bailing Valley, and the Western Route Bailing Creek. Currently, there are Eastern Route Qutian Gorge and Middle Route Bailing Valley, with a tour time of about 2-3 hours. Along the five kilometer long canyon tour line, there are more than ten scenic spots distributed, including February Pond, Feilai Waterfall, Pangu Rock, Baihua Creek, Shimen Flying Waterfall, Shilin Gorge, Tianhu Lake, Lion Roaring Peak, Flying Waterfall Lianzhu, Eagle Mouth Rock, and Immortal Waterfall. Tourists stroll among them, taking three steps and one scenery, five steps and one pool, with the sound of birds singing and the fragrance of flowers. Sometimes, the deep valley is deep, with waterfalls connected, flowers blooming, streams gurgling, strange rocks standing, and wit abounding. Sometimes, the roads turn and the willows are dark and the flowers are bright, as if in an intimate conversation with nature. The infinite charm of nature is fully displayed here, where the beauty of heaven and earth is condensed, creating a beautiful scenery that is unforgettable. The original ecological scenery fully reflects the characteristics of the scenic area returning to its original state.
2、 Infrastructure
The main construction projects in the scenic area include entrance parking lots, Huanshan Road, canyon attractions, tea houses, Tianhu Dam, and scenic greening. Build a "Tianhu Lake" with an elevation of 505 meters, a dam length of 130 meters, and a dam height of 28.8 meters. The normal storage level of the reservoir is 503.5 meters, and a set of three-level pumping stations is installed, which can accommodate 100000 cubic meters of water source and form a 26 meter drop waterfall. There are a total of 8 waterfall groups and 6.4 kilometers of hiking trails. The project has completed a green planting area of 1800 acres and planted 450000 seedlings of various types.
There are 6 canyon bathrooms distributed in the service area, including Walnut Forest (large), Ginkgo Forest, Baihua Creek, Hexagonal Pavilion, Feibao Lianzhu (large), and Yingzuiyan. There are 5 commercial points distributed in the service area square, Ginkgo Forest, Shimen Feiwaterfall, Hexagonal Pavilion, and Yingzuiyan. The catering center currently has one location, located in the service area square. There are 2 tea houses located on the observation platform above Ginkgo Forest and Eagle Mouth Rock.
3、 Attraction Features
The Wan'an Mountain Colorful Grand Canyon has a unique Danxia landform, with colorful rocks in the canyon. "China Danxia" has been included in the World Cultural Heritage List in August 2010. More than 30 types of flowers are planted in the canyon, including Thiourth Chrysanthemum, Golden Rooster Chrysanthemum, Serpentine Chrysanthemum, Centennial, Dutch Chrysanthemum, Saiju Taro, Cornflower, Serpentine Chrysanthemum, Gesang Flower, Willow Leaf Verbena, Blue Flower Sage, Caryophyllum, Amaryllis, Purple Jasmine, Random Grass, Lupin Bean, and Peacock Grass. They bloom in different seasons and are waiting for tourists to visit and explore.
